15 Favorite Holiday Breakfast Recipes (2024)

I love making breakfast for the family during theholidays. There is something about starting the day with a hot breakfast that fulfills my inner longing to be...my own mom.

Itgives me all of the holidays feels.

I want to freeze those early morning moments, sipping my coffee whileI stir something sweet and cinnamony onthe stove. Looking up to see our tree alllit and lovely, I just enjoy a momentin the still, quiet house. Then the kids begin filing into the kitchen, sleepily landing on a stool at the counter, bed head and crusty sleep in their eyes — a face only a mamma couldlove. Christmas-scented candles are lit on the counter, and the kitty is perfectly curled up under the tree. (how do cats know to do that?) For a secondwe are part of a Norman Rockwell painting. And I am basically fulfilling my childhoodimage of motherhood.

This whole scenelasts a goodtenthree and a half minutes, at which point the boys begin to come to lifeand poke each other and bother the cat and complain that the orange juice has too much pulp and the oatmeal is too hot and they…basically wreak havoc on all of those holiday feels.

But I’ll take three and a half minutes. It was good while it lasted.

Welltoday I have gathered some of my favorite family breakfast recipes — some of my own, some from others— to inspire your holiday kitchen. Whether you’re cooking for a big group on Christmas morning, or just for two, these delicious, easy-to-make recipes are sure to give you yourown holiday feels.
