Ingredients

For Tang Powder

  • 1.5 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Orange glucose
  • 1 tsp tatri / citric acid / nimbu sat
  • Salt a pinch
  • 4-5 drops orange fruit colour
  • 1/2 tsp orange essence

For making tang drink

  • 1 glass cold water
  • 2 tbsp tang powder
  • 2-3 ice cubes

Instructions

For making Tang Powder

  • Take a blender and add sugar in it.

  • Also add tatri along with sugar.

  • Grind until sugar and tatri turns into powder.

  • Further add glucose in the blender.

  • Add salt, orange essence and orange food colour.

  • Blend again so that everything mixes very well.

  • Your homemade tang powder is ready.

For making tang drink (1 serving)

  • take a serving glass and add 2 tbsp of tang powder in it.

  • Add cold water & mix well.

  • Add ice cubes and enjoy.

Notes

  1. In place of orange glucose, you can use plain white glucose also.
  2. Use 1 tsp of white vinegar in case you don't have tatri.
  3. Likewise you can make tang of other flavours also. But in that case use only plain white glucose. Also need to change the food colour and essence depending on which flavour you are preparing.
